What’s a dog’s least unhealthy meat or dairy?

Dairy is NOT recommended for any dog that is weaned.  Cow’s milk (is too species different from canine to be digested w/o tummy upset) even in unweaned puppies.  MANY dogs become lactose intolerant once weaned, so dairy products (of any kind) may cause digestive upset or diarrhea.

Unless a dog has a specific food allergy to a specific meat protein all meats can be consumed but you need to be careful about bones in fish and do NOT EVER give any cooked bones to dogs.  My vet advised me that pork & fish were the meats that dogs seemed to have the least amount of allergies to, but pork cannot be fed raw, due to the trichinosis concerns. Flukes (specific to uncooked salmon) are also dangerous to dogs.
